CAKE & BAKE has been attracting a loyal fan base since the very first international show back in 2015, and experienced confectioners and amateur bakers will once again find everything their hearts desire in Hall 3 at Messe Dortmund on 22 and 23 March 2025: dialogue, trends and workshops on baking, cake decorating, patisserie, and praline and chocolate-making. Dortmund, 24 October 2024 – Since CAKE & BAKE débuted back in 2015, the international cake show has carved out a niche for itself as Germany's largest cake decoration and baking fair. On 22 and 23 March 2025, it will be back again at Messe Dortmund, offering professional confectioners and amateur bakers a beautifully designed forum for sharing creative ideas.

Featuring familiar faces from radio and TV

As well as many well-known manufacturers and suppliers in the world of baking and cake design, next year's CAKE & BAKE will again include a host of prominent faces and professional confectioners. The participants in the current season of German TV bake-off show “Das große Backen” and last season's winner Patrik will be inviting people to a meet-and-greet session at their stand. Bettina “Betty” Schliephake-Burchhardt, one of the “Das große Backen” judges, will also be at the venue on both days of the show.

Cake competition: German-speaking panel to adjudicate across 13 categories

Once again, the cake competition will be the main event at CAKE & BAKE in 2025. This time, the German-speaking panel of judges will be headed by pastry chef and food influencer Jennifer Holst assisted by 13 other jurors, all of whom are members of cake art society Tortenkünstler Deutschland e.V. One innovation will be the “Mini decorative element” category which is aimed at all baking enthusiasts. Children and young people aged 7 to 11 and 12 to 17 will once again have the opportunity to demonstrate their creative skills in their own categories.
